Nature and college stuff

The sun is shinning again today. It feels almost spring-like. The garden below me has some snowdrops in flower around the tree and next door has a couple of crocus' in flower. I've not seen any wild snowdrops or crocus' in flower at all yet. My bulbs are starting to look a bit more respectable. They've grown a lot in the last two or three days. I'm still not convinced they are going to flower this year. I think I'll have a party when I get my very first flower - I know I'll be that excited!!!

Didn't see the robin this morning that's been visiting every morning for the last week or so, but the dried meal worm I put out last night was gone when I got up so I put a few more out and they were gone when I looked an hour later. My bird feeder is getting very popular. I'm getting lots of Great tits, a few Coal tits have started calling, I also occasionally get a visit from a pied wagtail. I got REALLY excited this morning because I finally saw birds eating the peanuts. I also have a Starling that's as big as my fat ball feeder that keeps calling, trying to cling on and eat without falling off!

On Wednesday I bought a young blue Clematis plant to grow up the dividing trellis and also some red lilly bulbs and then realised I didn't have enough soil to plant them in the planter. I've got to wait now until I can call at the garden centre on Sunday!

Other news - I finally filmed my next college assessment this afternoon. I had a revelation on Tuesday when I went to the hospital. I realised that I wasn't the slightest bit nervous about my hospital test but I had been 'out of proportion' nervous about my college filming!! I decided it all needed to be brought into perspective! So I slept well last night went this afternoon to the filming, finished it on the first attempt, enjoyed the discussion and could have talked with the other two people for much much longer on the subject. My friend said  we had discussed for 16 minutes (it only needed to be 10 - 12 mins!) but it really felt short! I'm now concerned and hoping that she's not mistaken and stopped the discussion after only 6 mins!!! I had one small blip where I forgot my train of thought at the end of a sentence but J. was great as she recognised it immediately and interrupted me with a question so I answered that and just carried on as though it never happened!

Up side - I think it was a good discussion. I think good issues were brought up. I also think I asked good questions.
Down side - I think they will tell me that I signed a bit too slow. The other two didn't ask me many questions which unfortunately could fail me! I don't think I brought into the conversation any really 'up to the minute' statistics which I should have included.

I'll just have to wait and see.
