UK Christmas No1s 1952 - 2010 (1977 & 1978)

I love Christmas No1s and have collected them over the years on 78, vinyl and CD.

Mull Of Kintyre was my dad's favourite record. He always liked the sound of pipes and drums and I think I got my love of Scotland from him. He had been ill in bed for a while but died unexpectedly in '85. On the evening before, all the family were together (which didn't happen that often because of shifts at work) and we had a lovely evening chatting, singing and playing all his favourite records. It was a wonderful evening.
I have since visited many places in Scoland that he told me were wonderful and I have also been to some places he told me he wished he'd gone to. I once got very near to the mull of kintyre but unfortunatly I was too ill that day to walk the 4 and half miles across country to get to the actual point of the mull and the beach!

And Boney M are the band that was really Marcia Barrett and Frank Farian - while the other singers we saw just mimed.

Here are the next two songs:

Wings - Mull Of Kintyre

Boney M - Mary's Boy Child/Oh My Lord
