Tuesday & Wednesday

I planned to go walking yesterday with the Tuesday group but as I got to the Tenants & Residents office where we meet, I realised that I had completely forgotten there was a T&R meeting that morning! So I had to attend the meeting instead of going for a walk!

So I've been for a walk this morning. It's my first walk of the new year. Freda (one of the ladies from the Tuesday walking group) and I walked up to the very top of the hill to the garden centre just outside the village. The two local people who have owned it for years have recently sold it to a local college for adults with learning difficulties who want to learn gardening skills. It was all very quiet when we got there - we had hoped to meet some of the students but there was only the manager around. He said that the students would be starting in a few weeks time.

We did a round walk of about 4 miles and It drizzled for most of the time.

The last few days in the afternoons I've spent quite a number of hours tagging the five acts meme stories on to delicious.

The first post at tribal_tales  has gone up and I'm very excited about contributing to it. I've started getting some ideas together and hope to post my first piece there in the next couple of days.

If you've been keeping an eye on my 'river of stones writing project' at ijme you will notice that I haven't posted in the last couple of days! I have written them up in a note book and will quickly type them onto my journal as soon as I get a minute spare!

Last night I had the urge to try curling! Theres a new tuition class on Wednesdays for an hour. Steve's off next Wednesday but if I still have the urge to go in a couple of weeks time I might go and try it out!
