Last day of January

I've had a nice day today. The sun has shone and I've been a lot happier.

This morning I went for my, what has now become regular, Monday walk with people from my slimming club. Lots of people  at the club were saying that they would love to go walking but had no-one to walk with so three weeks ago I arranged for us to go walking together. As there are some larger people, some who are not used to walking, one with asthma and one blind lady with her guide dog and one lady with the blind lady's retired guide dog we take easy, flat routes of about 2 and a half to 3 miles. The last two weeks it's actually been the older retired guide dog thats put a limit on how far we have ended up walking as you could see she was in pain from walking so far.

Today the blind lady and the dogs didn't come so we took a steeper route up at the top of my village out on the top road and back through the fields which involved three stiles and four very thin gaps in the dry stone walls. We walked about 4 miles. It was lovely as the sun was shining, even though it was quite nippy!

This afternoon I caught up with some programmes from the weekend although I haven't managed to watch 'Being Human' yet.

This evening I've been playing 'catch up' on the Tribe rewatch as I'd got a few episodes behind. But I'm all up to date now.

That's it really!

Oh and for anyone who might wonder - my icon is of a new ultra modern building we have in Sheffield which is actualy a multi story car park! It's got nicknamed 'the cheesegrater'. The city center is in a valley and it's so shiney that when the sun reflects off it it can be seen from all the hills around! I can't decide whether it's ugly or attractive! I'm leaning more towards ugly! but then these photos make it look really attractive!
