So.. my mom went back home to my sister's on Thursday at teatime. It's been lovely having her stay with me and we had a really nice time together. We've both said that it worked well and that she should come and stay more often to give my sister a bit of time to herself, or if her and her hubby want to go away for a few days they can.

We watched TV together and I kept the flat far tidier than I normally do! in the evening she watched her soaps for a couple of hours and I came on the internet and caught up with my f'list posts. She liked staying up and watching the late film so I was usually in bed before she was. I've been sleeping in the guest room as I've STILL got a problem with a leak from the flat upstairs although after calling the council men out 4 times now and them finding a leak and stopping it, the leak is so small it has taken 8 days to show signs of being there again! So the wallpaper is still off in the corner of the guest room and the council will be rung again on Monday morning!

Thursday night was odd without mom being here. It all seemed quiet (even though she's not noisy!)

Friday night my cousin aimingtobefit stayed over. We had a good night. We watched a couple of episodes of 'Strange Luck' on DVD and then this morning we watched S1 episodes 9 - 16 of 'The Tribe' I am SOOO happy that she's enjoying 'The Tribe' :)

My book reading total is up to 16 now since Jan 1st. My aim was to beat last years total of 19 (Jan - Dec 12) so I'm nearly there and it's not even June!!

The book I finished the other day was 'The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry' It was very nice light easy read and had some thought provoking stuff in it.

'When Harold Fry leaves home one morning to post a letter, with his wife hoovering upstairs, he has no idea that he is about to walk from one end of the country to the other. He has no hiking boots or map, let alone a compass, waterproof or mobile phone. All he knows is that he must keep walking. To save someone else's life.'
