Archaic English.

On Sunday we sang a really old hymn that had lots of thee's and thou's in it. But what struck me was the use of 'wast' and 'wert'. I realised that I don't use them and I know noone else who ever does and yet they still feel like words that are in common use and quite normal! I think that I am probably of the last generation who will have ever heard them and used them and I think they will probably disappear from the English language quite soon!
